FAQs
Quick answers to the things people have been asking. If your question isn't here, just reply to your invite text or DM David or Krista.
- What's the dress code?
- Garden formal. Think suits or sport coats for the gentlemen, cocktail dresses or dressy jumpsuits for the ladies. The ceremony is outdoors on grass — comfortable shoes are wise.
- Where is the wedding?
- 1201 S Main Street, Nicholasville, KY 40356 — a historic mansion about 15 minutes south of downtown Lexington. See the Travel page for directions.
- What time should I arrive?
- Doors open at 4:30 PM. Please be seated by 4:55 PM — the ceremony starts at 5:00 PM sharp.
- Is it indoors or outdoors?
- The ceremony is on the front lawn (outdoors). Cocktail hour and reception are inside the mansion.
- What if it rains?
- We have a tented backup plan on-site. The day goes on either way — bring a light jacket just in case.
- Can I bring a plus-one?
- Your RSVP link will tell you exactly how many seats you have. If your invite says +1 or includes specific names, those guests are welcome. If you have any question, just reply to your invite text and ask.
- Are kids invited?
- Yes, kids are welcome — but please confirm headcount when you RSVP so we can plan seating and meals.
- Where should I stay?
- Most of our out-of-town guests are staying in downtown Lexington (~25 min from the venue). The Hyatt Regency and Embassy Suites are good options. We'll add a recommended block link as it firms up.
- Is there parking at the venue?
- Yes, plenty of on-site parking on the property. No shuttle is required.
- Will there be a meal?
- Yes — a seated dinner during the reception. When you RSVP, please pick a meal choice so we can give the caterer accurate counts.
- What about gifts?
- Your presence is the only gift we're asking for. If you'd like to contribute, our honeymoon-to-Bali fund is on the Registry page (Venmo + Zelle).
- How do I share photos from the day?
- Scan the QR code on the Gallery page during the wedding to upload directly to our shared Google Drive folder — we'd love to see the day through your eyes.
